Kementerian Wilayah Persekutuan
This ministry oversees the governance and development of Malaysia's three Federal Territories: Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, and Putrajaya. It handles federal-level administrative matters, urban planning, infrastructure projects, and public services delivery across these territories, which fall outside the jurisdiction of state governments. The ministry coordinates with local authorities, including city councils and federal territory authorities, to manage day-to-day services such as licensing, land administration, municipal services, and development control. It also supervises federal institutions, social welfare programs, and community development initiatives within these territories to ensure effective governance and citizen services. Current priorities include sustaining Kuala Lumpur's status as the national capital, promoting Putrajaya's development as the federal administrative centre, and supporting Labuan's role as an international financial and offshore hub. The ministry works to balance urban development with quality of life improvements and environmental sustainability across all three territories.
